Global Shipping Services Houston Moves Big OOG Airfreight to Singapore

At?Global Shipping Services’ Houston office, we don’t just handle ocean freight OOG. We also manage some big OOG airfreight.

When our customer asked us to airfreight this piece from Houston to Singapore, we had a major issue, as it was 132 inches / 335 centimeters high.?After consulting closely with Cargolux load planners, we were able to agree on a maximum height of 116 inches / 295 cm, including all lifting lugs.?Even our customer was worried and nervous that they could not reduce the size to the required maximum height. However, after re-working the unit’s structure and configuration, they were able to fix the height of the unit at 295 cm.?Cargo Weight was 22,000lbs ( 9,979kgs )

Once our customer was able to confirm the new cargo package height, we booked the flight and collected the cargo. When we delivered the unit to Cargolux and they confirmed the cargo was approved to load, everyone breathed a huge sigh of relief, and the cargo departed on schedule to Singapore. Once loaded, the cargo was very tight to the ceiling of the aircraft, shown in the photo.
