Global School Alliance; get involved today with the Global School Awards

Managed by the Global School Alliance, the Global School Awards (GSA) is a supportive and motivational framework that guides and supports schools through their international work. With three certified Levels of Recognition, the Award takes schools from introducing international work to the curriculum, to embedding it within the school’s culture and wider ethos.?

The Award provides a valuable framework around which to build and develop a whole school approach to embedding and celebrating a commitment to the enriching, innovative and creative international dimensions of teaching and learning.

"It’s helped me as Global Mindedness Lead to write a development plan and see further opportunities for improvement. Aspects of the criteria have informed my development plan and given us a ‘road-map’ as a school."

Schools are supported to follow an accessible methodology to encourage the development of links with partner schools around the world, enhance the curriculum and prepare students for life as global citizens.

Schools working on the GSA produce an Action Plan for integrating international activities into the classroom, and then produce evidence to show that they have carried out these activities. The school is guided and advised throughout the process and schools are awarded the Global School Award if they meet the standard.
