Teaming Up in the Public Sector Saves Money and Improves Services
Working together can be a powerful tool for government agencies to save money and improve the services they provide to citizens. However, getting different agencies to collaborate effectively can be difficult.
Finding Common Ground: Shared Needs and Expertise
The first step to successful collaboration is identifying areas where agencies can work together. Over two months (February and April this year) Snapshotz assisted agencies in three countries in assessing their needs and strengths.

Once Snapshotz identified these needs and strengths, it connected agencies that could learn from each other. This allowed them to share knowledge and expertise in areas where they were lacking or needed improvement.

Snapshotz wasn't just about fixing the most pressing issues. It also revealed opportunities to improve various aspects of how government agencies run and deliver services. Additionally, it identified ways to develop staff and reduce costs.

Unlike private businesses that compete with each other, government agencies are often encouraged to work together. This is especially true now, with tight budgets and a growing demand for citizen services.
