Global Mobility: Path and Passion

In 2013, I started my journey in the Global Mobility sector. I have to confess this path has not always been flowers. I guess autumn is the best season to describe it: sometimes warm, sometimes cold, some wind, some rain and flowers and leaves to make it a beautiful path.

The first two DSP companies I worked for in Brazil gave me a taste of what this journey was going to be. Sweet and sour is what I got during this 7 years, since working with people from different cultures is not an easy task! But I have learned a lot with all the flavours I have experimented and my passion for the Global Mobility industry has been growing since the beggining.

Since 2013, I have facilitated the move of hundreds of people around the globe. Every relocation process has it's own features and specifics and that's what makes it challenging, but also exciting! Routine is not part of my daily tasks, but learning from each client and assignee helps me anticipate obstacles and pain points to figure out how to prevent them from coming up or finding solutions for them.

Listening to the client's and assignee's requests, understanding and meeting their needs and objectives, and facilitating their decisions are the most important and effective ways to reach a successful relocation process. And when success is not 100%, I always take the opportunity to reflect and learn what I could have done differently to achieve better results.

When I look back to what I've done and picture where I want to be, there's still a long way to go and a lot to learn, but I always remeber one day, maybe four years ago, when I was at a Spanish Tapa's restaurant and started talking to an unknown person that was seated beside me. We started talking about career and he said: "You have chosen your path, so now you just have to keep walking." From then on I decided to have no hurry, for I want to enjoy every second of this journey!
