Global Media Innovator Board: Dato' Ng Wan Peng, Kuala Lumpur

Dato’ Ng Wan Peng is the Chief Operating Officer of Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC). She has been a core and pioneer member of the Organisation from the inception of Multimedia Super Corridor initiative since 1998. As the Chief Operating Officer, she oversees the whole business with strategic operations including the various division such as Industry Developments, specifically the Creative Content & Technologies, Infotech, Global Business Services, Critical Enablers including Talent, Innovation Capital as well as Digital Enablement, Customer Service and also the Community Enablement i.e. Youth, B40 and eCommerce. She has more than 25 years’ Industry experience and having graduated from Universiti Sains Malaysia in 1988 majoring in Computer Science. She has extensive experience in managing large-scale projects, in the areas of Strategic IT Planning, Project Management, Systems Integration, and Methodologies Development.  Dato’ Ng has consulted for both private and public sector organizations in IT policy and project implementation in government, defense and education sectors in Malaysia and abroad. In 2015, Dato’ Ng was conferred Darjah Setia Pangkuan Negeri (D.S.P.N) award for her contribution, commitment and dedication in driving and expanding MSC Malaysia’s footprint to other parts of Malaysia and also globally.
