Candidate Experience: What frustrates candidates the most and how we can make the process better ??

Recently we conducted a poll on our LinkedIn page asking our network about what frustrates them the most during the hiring process.? As you can see, "long response time" and "lack of feedback" are the leading issues.



Many candidates thank recruiters just for telling them they didn’t get the job—because ghosting has become the norm. Candidates invest time in interviews, take-home tasks, and exams, yet often receive no feedback. This lack of communication makes them feel cheated and undervalued. Why recruiters struggle with feedback & how they try to fix it:

The biggest challenge is time, but many recruiters believe a quick message is worth it. While generic rejections are inevitable, qualified candidates deserve a short explanation. Providing feedback helps maintain valuable connections for future roles. Some recruiters also respond to candidates who follow up after a CV rejection—sometimes uncovering missing details that turn a rejection into an interview opportunity.
