This is because engineers work within the framework of organisations and they are also expected to be part of organisational staff and get involved in leadership, management, business proposals and presentations and communicating with clients. So it is not unusual to have engineers talking about subjects such as business, leadership, strategy, management, organisational development, marketing, sales and entrepreneurship. In fact, there are many people who are now masters and commandos in other disciplines such as strategy, organisations, business and entrepeneurship but who have science and engineering education backgrounds.
