What is the Global Hunger Index (GHI)?
It is an annual report by Concern Worldwide and Welthungerhilfe.
The report measures hunger on a 100-point scale, with 0 being no hunger & 100 being the worst.
It comprises of four indicators: undernourishment, child stunting, child wasting, and child mortality.

Hunger and child mortality have multiple complex causes.
The GOI has criticized the GHI methodology, citing discrepancies in child-wasting data and pointed out that three out of four GHI indicators focus on child health, which only represents some of the population. They have also criticized the accuracy of the "Proportion of Undernourished Population" indicator.
