Global Financial Systems Analyst - must work onsite in Chicago

Onsite position in Chicago with relocation assistance available.

The Global Financial Systems Analyst plays a crucial role in daily accounting and systems operations. This position will provide a wide range of technical accounting and system support to the global finance team and collaborate closely with the IT department.

Key responsibilities include ensuring the smooth operation of daily accounting and systems tasks by offering IT support and enhancing all financial aspects of JD Edwards 9.2, Planful, and BlackLine. The role will also focus on driving process improvements related to month-end close, reporting, and planning activities through technology utilization. Additionally, the analyst will provide support and training to the global finance team on the systems mentioned above.

Key Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Support JDE financial administration (period close, Chart of Accounts, etc.).
  • Maintain and monitor JDE system integrity and related reports.
  • Assist in the setup of JDE systems for AAIs, DMAAIs, Flex Accounting, and cross-reference tables.
  • Provide JDE system support and troubleshooting.
  • Track support tickets using the IT project management tool (ServiceNow).
  • Document processes and procedures for addressing JDE system issues and train the team accordingly.
  • Participate in the development and enhancement of JDE and BlackLine processes and reports affecting finance.
  • Serve as a system administrator for Planful EPM.
  • Act as a system administrator for the BlackLine close management tool.
  • Support global usage of JDE, Planful, and BlackLine; provide guidance and training to the Global Finance team.
  • Assist with ad-hoc business requests for data extraction as needed (e.g., audits – IT, Tax, Financial).
  • Support ancillary technology tools that impact finance, including Power BI, SharePoint, Captaris, and Inspyrus.
  • Participate in cross-functional enhancement and problem-solving projects.
  • Complete other projects or duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or IT within a corporate environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, data analytics, or IT.
  • Strong analytical and data management skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Detail-oriented, highly accurate, conscientious, and creative.
  • Ability to learn and apply new technical concepts quickly.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of JD Edwards 9.2 and proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Capability to understand, develop, and refine processes.
  • Professional demeanor.
  • Knowledge of accounting and finance concepts and reporting.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary, potentially internationally.
