Let’s get inspired!

Three questions, three individual answers.

We always like to ask our team for their personal opinions and experiences on the newsletters topics. This time, Katrin, our CEO, answered some questions.

Enjoy reading!

What is the importance of green events in your eyes??

With climate change being a very concerning topic for all of us, it is natural that our efforts towards a sustainable and liveable future are also reflected in the way we plan and execute events worldwide. I think that in the future planning [green events] will be the norm and not the exception any more.?

Our destination this time is Norway - Do you have a personal connection to this country?

Yes, indeed! I used to go fishing in the north of Norway with my father every summer when I was a kid. This country is connected with a great deal of nostalgia for me. The people, the landscape, the “laid backness”, were all things that led me to come back as an adult.?

What kind of events would you recommend in Norway?

I think that you have to have a connection with the sea and nature if you plan an event in Norway, it makes it a perfect destination for incentives with a sporty character :)

Nature, Environment, New Technology

When you hear the word “Norway” you immediately think of deep dark fjords, fresh sea air, long hikes and the breathtaking phenomenon of the Northern Lights - a country where city life and nature are inseparable.?Nature, Environment, New Technology

Norway is one of the 20 most environmentally friendly countries according to the Environment Performance Index in 2020. The capital, Oslo, with its direct location on one of the largest fjords, has participated since 2016 in the GDS index, which is a global performance ranking tool, where industry stakeholders, local community and government are involved in environmental development. Oslo itself also hosts nearly 50% of all international meetings.? But there is much more...! Another very popular destination is the fjord capital called Bergen. With a funicular railway that is accessible from the city center, take a ride up to the plateau from where you can observe breathtaking views of the city, surrounded by mountains and fjords.?

In addition, the country is one of the pioneers in e-mobility. In Trondheim for example, a floating elevator powered by batteries has just been put into service in 2021. The self-propelled ferry Zeabuz will transport people from one side to the other.?

Norway is well known for its green events as well as being the perfect destination for incentives. Husky tours, snowmobile safaris, hiking, watching whales from a boat or hunting for the northern lights and much more. It's your time to explore this country!

In 2023, on the island of Andoya in Versteralen, a new attraction called “The whale” opens to the public.?

It's curved structure will resemble a giant rock rising from the shores. The waterfront site will be located on And?ya’s northern tip in Andenes, a coastal village that welcomes around 50,000 visitors each year for its world-class whale-watching opportunities. The best part: you can watch whales directly from the platform of this incredible building! It’s possible to spot: pilot, minke, and sperm whales near the Andenes from June - August, and of course during winter. Orcas and humpback whales migrate through the fjords of Vester?len as well as through the Lofoten archipelago, located just to the south.

Beyond its open-air coastal viewpoint, the Whale will house sprawling exhibition spaces with whale-related artifacts, a café, and a museum store. Visitors will also be able to watch for migrating whales from inside the exhibition spaces, which are lined with beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows that look out over the Norwegian Sea.
