Global Event Mates around the world
Dear reader,
It's time to introduce you to one of the most popular Latin American countries!
Today we are taking a trip to Mexico! From the Mayan ruins and lush jungles, to the pristine Pacific Coast. Mexico City’s art and food scene is like no other. From Mezcal to beautiful Oaxaca, Mexico is just outstanding!
Let's dive into the country that lives from its nature and culture! Let’s get inspired!
Three questions, three individual answers.
Katrin (GEM Founder) has travelled to many places in the world. Her latest destination, Mexico.
Katrin, you were just in Mexico. Is there an experience that has remained particularly in your memory?? There were so many, where do I start? Flying with a Balloon over the pyramids of the Moon was very spectacular. That's definitely a highlight for any trip to Mexico. I would highly recommend it.
What is your favourite place in Mexico?? There are many beautiful places in Mexico. But a particularly sweet little town that I can absolutely recommend lies on the peninsula Baja California Sur with the name Todos Santos! A particular highlight here is the release of baby turtles at sunset on the nearby beach!
Tequila with lemon and salt, or rather straight?? Of course straight, but only if it’s Don Julio Tequila ;)
Destination: Mexico
A country that is bursting with new memories to make.
This Latin American country is the one with the highest number of international tourists. Mexico inspires everyone. Its deserts, forests, beaches and even volcanoes, there is so much to see in the land with the best tacos and tequila.
Did you know that Mexico, not Egypt, has the world's largest pyramid? The Pyramid of Cholula in the Mexican Federal State of Puebla will leave you speechless, especially during a hot air balloon trip above it! Worried about transportation? No need - Mexico is the country with the largest number of cabs.
Mexican food was even included in the list of immaterial world's cultural heritage in 2010. That is unique!
Mexico City is the vibrant capital of the country. The city has the largest international airport in Latin America in terms of daily operations. Annually it hosts international events, and its convention centres have been awarded with numerous awards and certifications. Approximately 140 hotels are strategically located around the convention centres. This way, your guests won't have to travel far to get to and from an event.
Looking for an activity around the city? It was voted one of the top 10 most inspiring and fun cities in the world and therefore has a wide range of incentive programs - from hot air balloon flights to a trip on the Xochimilco waterway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the possibilities are endless.?
