GLOBAL Day(s) of Code Retreat

In November, there is special collection of events each year, a GLOBAL Day Of CodeRetreats. Each year there are SEVERAL GDCR events, run separately, in different languages, different places, spanning just a few hours, up to and including multiple days. This is a tradition that began more than a decade ago.

The links above are all part of our central hub at CodeRetreat.org run by our benevolent leaders, cat herders, and enablers par excellence: Raimo Radczewski and Matt Plavcan.

Thank you Raimo and Matt both, for all that you and others have done over the years to build such a rich tradition. I am privileged to be part of that tradition and hope the world sees many more years of this sort of giving back to the community.

To those of you reading this who have participated in Code Retreats, annual or otherwise, please, drop a comment below to share your experience(s).

If you are facilitating, hosting, or otherwise running a GDCR23 event this November please consider this your invitation to drop in for as little or as much as you wish to the one I am hosting; it is the first one listed and is named 48 Hour GLOBAL Day of CodeRetreat - EVERYWHERE. The event link is there, as is my Twitter link.

This is the case for each of the listed events.

People over process. Creativity beats efficiency. Habits before goals.

Thanks for running this again Bob. This is a really cool remote / virtual option! We’ll see if we can pop in, maybe at the end of the day as we’ll be focused on facilitating our local in-person Toronto event (to.gdcr.ca).
