Latest Data Release: Named Peer Ratings Data Pool!

GCD Interactive Data Dashboard
GCD Named Peer Ratings Data Pool Participation Map

We’re excited to announce the latest data release for the Named Peer Ratings data pool! This kicks off the year for this data pool, where banks collaborate to exchange risk ratings and parameters for mutual borrowers. The data covers over 30,000 names across North America, Europe, South Africa, and Australia.

Our member banks rely on this data pool to compare risk parameters with their counterparts in similar regions, as well as to strengthen their early warning system for at-risk borrowers in the Large Corporate, Sovereign, Banks, and Financial Institutions sectors.

GCD Data Pools Overview

At GCD, we currently oversee four data pools: LGD/EAD, PD/Rating, Named Peer Ratings/Clusters, and our ICC Trade Register for Trade Finance products. Each year, our member banks actively contribute to these pools and receive valuable data in exchange.

Our membership fee covers participation in any or all of these pools, so there are no additional costs for joining multiple data pools. Data submission is currently in progress, with strict timelines in place. Please feel free to reach out to us for more information.

Remember, You Now Get Even More Data for What You Give!

With the latest updates to Data Entitlement Rules by the Methodology Committee, banks are set to receive a boost in data for their low default portfolio contributions. The changes have already been rolled out and were part of the 2023-H2 LGD cycle. This gives you access to a richer dataset for even better analyses.

For more information on how these changes impact your bank, please reach out to any of our GCD Executives.
