Global Communities

Global Communities

We're now in over 25 countries across 6 continents! ??

"How do you schedule a time that suits everyone?!"

Very common question.

A good one, because it reveals the bigger issues.

Before I dive into that, I want to mention, firstly, that if your country isn’t represented in my community yet, you can join with a special incentive. ??

Check the map below (current situation).

Secondly, how amazing is it that we're so global?

When I first joined a language center in my city in Brazil, all my classmates were from the neighborhood. If I were taking the same class today, my classmates would be from all over the world—and we’d probably have much more in common than just our level of English.

These are exciting times to start your language academy!

So, how do you handle the logistics of different time zones?

I’m in Japan Time Zone, some members are in the US Pacific Time Zone, and we have everything in between.

This is how we do that. ???????????? 6 ???? ?????? ???????? ??????????????????.

1. Find the best time for most active members: As the coach, you are one of the most active members, so your availability is key. Simply ask your members for their preferred times. Accept that the chosen time won’t be perfect for everyone, but remember that many people have flexible schedules these days.

2. Create opportunities for peer interaction: If students can't meet with the coach, they should at least be able to connect with their peers regularly.

3. Offer flexible 1-on-1 sessions: Provide flexible times for quick monthly 1-on-1 sessions with the coach, available on demand.

4. Record all sessions: Make sure all sessions are recorded and available for later viewing.

5. Consider opening a second group session at a different time to accommodate different time zones.

6. Boost other ways to offer value: Look for other ways to provide value that don’t require your presence.

Focus on results, not just time spent: We’re in the business of helping people achieve their goals. We are not in the business of spending time together.

Live sessions with a coach are important, but they shouldn't be 100% of the value you offer.

There are many ways to provide value without needing everyone to meet at the same time.

The question about 'how to find a time that is good for everyone" reveals the bigger bottleneck, which is "how to deliver value without using your time."

Number 6 is about that and solving time logistics completely.

Your time is the biggest bottleneck.

Everything in business is downstream from that.

P.S.: Do you like the idea of growing a membership with dozens or even hundreds of members?

Let’s develop that together!

Hot discussions happening this week:

The Most Meaningful Business Milestone I achieved happened in the first 4 months.

Nothing impacted more my day-to-day than achieving this milestone.

It was the beginning of a new life and leaving my university diploma behind felt like the perfect symbolic move.
