Global Communications Toolkit (All Chapters): Skills, Strategies & Storytelling Across Four Continents - My Life As An International Journalist
Michael J. Jordan
Global & Strategic Communications Expert | Author of "The Global Communications Toolkit" | Executive Coach & Writing Trainer | Former Foreign Correspondent | Visiting Professor of International Journalism
This is the newsletter for a book project that spans my career, to date. Part memoir, part travelogue and part textbook, this how-to guide can help anyone improve their ability to communicate more persuasively with any audience. Especially, a foreign audience. It features my unique methodology, which I've dubbed The MJ Method: a hybrid approach drawn from the International Journalism skills, strategies and storytelling I've learned - as an American fortunate enough to have lived and worked in Europe, Africa and China - then applied to the challenge of how to deliver impactful Global Communications.
I’ll publish roughly one new chapter per week, until all 30 are published. You'll also find a handful of "Special Editions" mixed in.
I dedicate this project to my three cherished children – and my beloved brother-in-law, Dr. Joseph F. Scalia, who recently died at age 53. A brother and friend, Joseph always encouraged me. As for my kids: If you ever wonder what my life was like during your childhood – amid our journey from New York, to Central Europe, to Southern Africa, then to China – this book is for you.
In case you missed them, click to read the chapters I've published so far:
