Global comms survey - win a PRovoke summit pass

It's been a while. It's time for one of my sporadic LinkedIn newsletters. You're busy, so I'll keep it brief.
Do our comms survey to enter a draw to win a pass to the PRovoke Global Summit
I'm leading a global research project into how the PR and communications profession uses technology and urgently need your help. Please take 10-15 minutes to complete our survey and when you finish you can provide your details to be entered into a draw to win a pass for the PRovoke Global Summit .
Because some multiple-choice questions have a lot of options it's a little faster to do the survey on the desktop, but it's fine on mobile as well.
My company, Purposeful Relations , is conducting the research in partnership with PRovoke Media , the International Communication Consultants Organisation (ICCO), the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) and the World Communication Forum Association (WCFA). It's supported by communication technology companies NewsWhip , Presspage , PRophet and Stickybeak .
The results of the research will be shared with everyone who completes the survey and provides their details. It will also be published by PRovoke Media and made freely available on Purposeful Relations' website and my LinkedIn profile.
Thanks in advance for your help. You can complete the survey here .

Last October McKinsey said it thought that online communities would be the "big idea" in marketing for the 2020s . We were ahead of McKinsey as earlier last year we launched the Comms Leaders Club . It's a safe space for in-house communications leaders and aspiring leaders to discuss topical communications issues and ask questions. It's hosted on Guild, a specialist community platform.
Guild is free to join and once you've joined one community then you'll be able to join some of its other professional communities on topics as diverse as sustainability, digital marketing, agile strategy, B2B marketing, future of work, crisis communications, human resources, NEDs and more.
You can apply to join our Comms Leaders Club community here .

Are you subscribed to PR Futurist?
Of course I am, you're thinking as you're reading it now. But you're not really as I only publish my LinkedIn newsletter occasionally. If you want fortnightly updates on the latest news and research about the future of public relations, communications and corporate affairs then you need to subscribe to PR Futurist on Curated. It's free and usually has 8-14 short opinions or analysis with links to the corresponding news, article or research. Subscribe here .
See you soon?
My globe-trotting for business came to an abrupt stop at the start of 2020. I finally got back on the road last November with a trip to Dubai to run a two-day masterclass on the future of PR and communications.
This year I'm hoping to make up for the two-and-a-half-year hiatus and am already starting to plan trips to Miami, Warsaw, Washington DC, New York, Dubai, India and Australia.
I know I'll be in Miami for the AMEC Global Summit to talk all things PR and communication measurement, but I'm still scoping the rest. Some trips are to attend conferences and summits; others are to see clients. I might not do them all unless I can add in some extra work while I'm there so let me know if you're interested in me delivering training to your team while I'm near you as it will help me decide which to do, or extra countries or cities I need to add in.
Do you need a NED? Get fresh perspectives with me!
This year I intend to take on a new non-executive director role. I'm looking for two roles. One voluntary as a trustee of a charity or not-for-profit organisation and one paid as a NED of a PR agency, start-up, scale-up or public sector body. This could be in the UK or even supporting and advising a PR agency in one of the many countries I've worked.
I've had several similar roles and my last NED role finished in December 2019. I had intended to look for another one immediately, but then the pandemic struck.
You can read more about my non-executive and trustee experience on my personal website , which also has a little more about the types of roles I'm looking for.
How are you?
It's a long time since I've seen some of you face-to-face, so it would be great to hear what you're up to. I'm busy with client work in both my businesses. It's mainly communication measurement and evaluation projects, creating PR strategies, running PR training and professional development , and crisis communications planning and support .
Drop me an email or LinkedIn message to let me know what you're up to or book a virtual coffee so we can catch-up.
