Laurel School Cultural Field Trip
Our team facilitated a cultural outing for 8th grade students at Laurel School . Students were split into groups to learn about Congo, Afghanistan, and Ukraine. Students also learned about Global Cleveland?& heard from an employee about her journey to the U.S. from Nepal.
Pakistan Connections
At Global Cleveland, we love making connections in order to amplify impact. That's exactly what we did in October by connecting the Junaid Family Foundation with Sana and Wazma, each?have a Cleveland connection, as well as?a passion for providing services to the women of Pakistan.?
Slovenian Days
Members of the Global Cleveland team were proud to represent the organization during Slovenian Days in Cleveland, a week of educational cultural exhibits and celebrations.
Ghanian Sister Cities
Joined by William H. Gary, Sr. and Kwame Botchway , Global Cleveland presented a resolution to the Cleveland City Council to add Tema, Ghana as a sister city to Cleveland. Every member of the council volunteered to co-sponsor the resolution.
German Marshall Fund Visit
Global Cleveland's president, Joe Cimperman , had the pleasure of moderating a conversation with German Marshall Fund of the United States ?president,?Heather Conley, at the The City Club of Cleveland .?
Conversations like these are important opportunities to discuss international relationships and how they pertain to Cleveland. Pictured are past and present German Marshall Fellows.
