We have just launched Global Canvas 2024 - our art competition for children and young people 4-16. You can enter either as a group or individually and the closing date is the 13th of February 2024. The quality of the entries is very high- we get great art from 57 countries. So here are three tips to get you started:

1. Research the theme before you make your art: find the thing that inspires you.

2. Check your idea is original- search online to see if you can find it. As an example: if you see lots of pictures of a turtle with the world on its back- think of something else.

3. Does your picture reflect the theme? This year it is the 'Barometer of Life' (which is about the IUCN red list of endangered animals).
