Our Client:

A renowned luxury eyewear brand is on the lookout for a dynamic and highly motivated Global Business Development Manager. This role presents an exciting opportunity to shape the brand's global presence and drive business growth across diverse regions including North and South America, Asia-Pacific, North Africa, China, and Eastern Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Distribution Partner Management: Strengthen relationships with approximately 22 global distribution partners. Conduct 1-2 visits per year to each partner to provide business support.
  • Business Development: Develop and implement strategic growth plans for each market. Identify new business opportunities and expand the distribution network.
  • Marketing and Visual Merchandising: Collaborate on marketing strategies and campaigns with partners. Ensure visual merchandising aligns with the brand's standards.
  • Sales Training: Provide sales training to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques. Develop training materials and conduct workshops for sales teams.
  • Showroom Management: Assist in setting up and optimising showrooms to reflect the brand’s luxury image. Guide showroom presentation and product display.
  • Performance Monitoring: Analyse sales performance data to identify trends and improvement areas. Present performance reports to senior management / directors.
  • Brand Representation: Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring consistent brand representation. Participate in industry events and exhibitions to promote the brand.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, marketing, or merchandising, ideally with a proven track record of managing international distribution partners, particularly in the optical or luxury goods industry.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and performance monitoring.
  • Familiarity with diverse cultural business practices, and fluency in multiple languages would be advantageous.
  • Dynamic and energetic personality, coupled with strong leadership and motivational skills.
  • Culturally sensitive and adaptable, with a genuine passion for luxury brands and the fashion industry.
  • We are open to the relocation of the individual, with London or Milan being preferred locations but not essential.

Remuneration:

The remuneration offered is subject to the experience of the successful candidate but will include on-target earnings (OTE) based on an annual salary (depending on experience), plus profit-related bonus, company pension scheme, phone, and laptop. Candidates on higher salaries may be considered.
