Today, in our Q2 earnings report, we announced positive data in the Phase 3 clinical trial of izokibep in?Hidradenitis Suppurativa, as well as a refocused pipeline strategy that prioritizes lonigutamab in thyroid eye disease (TED). As part of this new?strategy, and after careful?reflection, we have made the difficult decision to restructure parts of our organization, which will impact great talent across our teams. Last week, we've had a listening session with the FDA discussing out Leigh syndrome global patient registry, including the ways we follow FDA registry guidance, and data interoperability with CDISC and OMOP. This listening session is our 2nd, following one in 2023. Our lead asset, RSBT-001, possesses a targeted approach to deadly respiratory diseases such as COPD and IPF. Dry Powder Inhalation, or DPI, delivers RSBT-001 deep into the lungs where much of the inflammation resides. Once there, the polarity adaptive characteristics of RSBT-001 come into play enabling the active ingredients of RSBT-001 to penetrate the alveoli and other lung tissue with little to no systemic uptake.? ? What is your QALY score? If you don’t know what a “quality adjusted life year” (QALY) is - you should. It’s a metric where a panel decides what they think the quality of life is for someone with a chronic illness or rare disease experiences. Then they assign a value to your life from 0 to 1 with 1 being a healthy person. The QALY score for Cystic Fibrosis alone is 0.21 to 0.22. So, CF patients are valued as less than HALF A PERSON by healthcare economic entities whom our lawmakers consult with on prescription drug pricing and access. Our lives are only worth 21-22% of a healthy person and someday our therapies may not be worth covering. ?? QALYs are illegal, however it is not enforced in all states. In fact, only Oregon and Oklahoma have been able to ban them. We need a FULL QALY ban.
