Glo Fiber Business Completes the Acquisition and rebrand of Horizon Telcom
Shenandoah Telecommunications (Shentel), parent company to Glo Fiber, announced on April 1, 2024 the acquisition completion of Horizon Telcom, a commercial and residential fiber optic broadband provider located in Ohio. Following the acquisition, a rebrand of Horizon to Glo Fiber and Glo Fiber Business took effect on April 15th. Horizon’s fiber to the home services will be integrated into the Glo Fiber brand, while Horizon’s enterprise solutions will become part of Glo Fiber Business.
The combined footprint totals 15,400 route fiber miles across seven states. This strategic acquisition empowers Glo Fiber to further support and achieve the commitment of bringing robust connectivity and digital opportunities to the areas where they’re most needed.
