The last week of June has been an exciting one. ??
In October, David and I will be working from a 16-day house sit in Porto, Portugal with a cute kitty named Betty Fivebellies (check out her photo below).
Yep. travel is back on the schedule!
AND the homeowner wants me to help her with the social media marketing strategy for her business.

It was a trial by fire ?????? because I had not yet used Streamyard live.?
There were a couple of tense moments in the beginning as I tried to figure out how to share the screen.?

Substantial LinkedIn Algorithm Changes Have Rolled Out
Or you've at least noticed how glitchy LinkedIn has been all week (I've had 2 DAYS?of comments disappear?and we won't even discuss reach on Thursday??).?
While I?don't love the glitches, I do LOVE the latest changes to the algorithms that have rolled out, because...
They are perfectly in line with the?marketing strategy?both me and my clients have been using for over 6 years (it's algorithm change proof).
Here's a quick summary of the changes and what they mean for your LinkedIn marketing:
How LinkedIn determines what 'knowledge and advice content' is:
1. Is topics you're sharing?based on your core subject area (which means you NEED to have your profile set up correctly).?
2. Clearly addresses your target audience (this concerns me just a bit because nowhere does LI ask YOU who your target audience is, which means the algorithm is going to be determining this).
3. You get meaningful comments on your content (just another reason commenting is a necessary part of your strategy).
4. People from your industry are commenting on your content (why getting to know your peers is important).
5. Your post must have?perspective (you can't just post a photo, video, or share a post without telling people why it's important).

1 年Sounds like the algorithm is changing for the best. So important now to keep your connections relevant and no more accepting connection requests from everyone just to bring your content count up. What a way to dilute your reach when you do post.
