Through strategic investments in hydrogen production, carbon capture, and other innovative technologies, EET aims to cut CO2 emissions by 95% by 2030. 3. Stanlow Terminals wins ‘Terminal of the Future’ Award at Global Tank Storage Awards

Stanlow Terminals proudly announces its win at the Global Tank Storage Awards in Rotterdam, securing the prestigious title of ‘Terminal of the Future’. Essar is committed to innovation and sustainability, and is proud to invest in developing the UK's biggest biofuels storage hub. This recognition showcases our dedication to a greener future and marks a significant stride forward for us within the industry.

4. Unlocking India's energy potential with CBM

India has an opportunity to leverage its abundant Coal Bed Methane (CBM) resources to address climate change and reduce the usage of high-emission fuels. With Hon’ble PM, Shri Narendra Modi ’s vision for a gas-based economy, India can enhance its energy security. Essar Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Ltd (EOGEPL), alongside other active entities, are leading this initiative. However, India lags behind in CBM production compared to countries like China and Australia. To fully capitalise on CBM and boost India's energy self-reliance, policy changes supporting CBM, along with incentives and technological partnerships, are imperative.

5. Essar drives India's Green Mobility revolution with a comprehensive ecosystem

As the world focuses more on protecting the environment, Essar is at the forefront of India's Green Mobility revolution, offering a comprehensive ecosystem solution. ?With India aiming to achieve net-zero emissions by 2070, Essar's investment in Blue Energy Motors , GreenLine Mobility Solutions Ltd., and Ultra Gas & Energy Limited is making a significant impact on India's logistics sector. By utilising LNG-powered trucks, establishing refuelling stations, and implementing technology, we have already reduced 3,070 tonnes of carbon emissions and saved over 120,000 trees. This plan perfectly aligns with India's climate goals and demonstrates our dedication to responsible and innovative transportation.

6. Essar celebrated International Women’s Week 2023

During the International Women’s Week 2024, Essar celebrated women through the #EssarForHer campaign. The week featured inspiring talks by Smiti Kanodia and Priya Chakravarty , along with a session on cancer awareness led by Dr Meghal Jayant Sanghavi. We also showcased women-led businesses, shared inspiring stories on Essar Radio, and hosted keynote speeches from Chetna Gala Sinha and Col Kalyani Deshpande. The event concluded with a performance by an all-girl band. Our commitment to empowerment, diversity, and unity is evident in everything we do.
