EET Fuels advances its hydrogen fuel switching project with FEED stage completion

EET Fuels reached a significant milestone in its Hydrogen Fuel Switching project by advancing to the front-end engineering design (FEED) phase. By partnering with Wood , EET Fuels has finalised the design of the fuel system for its hydrogen-ready crude distiller furnace at its Stanlow Refinery.

This project aims to cut emissions by 0.2 million tonnes annually, supporting EET Fuels’ goal of achieving a 95% reduction in CO2 emissions by 2030. The completion of the FEED phase sets the stage for a final investment decision next year, marking an important step towards making the refinery a world leader in low-carbon solutions.

2. Black Box announces Q1 FY25 results

Black Box showcased its resilience with a remarkable 28% YoY growth in EBITDA to ?115 crore, and an improvement in margins by 240 bps to 8.1%, despite facing revenue challenges due to delayed decision-making and project execution. The company’s strategic exit from low-value customers allowed it to focus on high-margin deals, leading to a 55% YoY increase in profit after tax to ?37 crore.

With a robust order book now at US$ 475 million and ?410 crore secured for digital infrastructure expansion; Black Box is well-positioned for continued success as it moves confidently into FY25. Leadership expressed optimism in capitalising on the strong pipeline and achieving future revenue and profitability targets.

Black Box raises ?410 crore to accelerate digital infrastructure growth

Black Box Limited successfully secured ?410 crore through a preferential issue of fully convertible warrants, with investments from existing promoters, high-net-worth individuals, and institutional investors.

The funds will be allocated to expand data centre capabilities, enhance network infrastructure, foster innovation, and support market expansion. This capital infusion aimed to strengthen Black Box's position in the digital infrastructure sector and drive future growth and technological advancements.

Essar Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Ltd to invest ?3,000 crore in Raniganj CBM block to boost gas production

Essar Oil and Gas Exploration and Production announced a major investment of up to ?3,000 crore in its Raniganj coal bed methane (CBM) block in West Bengal. This investment aims to increase India’s gas output share from 1% to 5% over the next five years. Currently harnessing only 70 square kilometres of its 500-square-kilometre block, the company plans to drill new wells and significantly raise production levels.

Ultra Gas & Energy Limited’s Anand RO LNG facility exemplified innovation and operational excellence. Designed, constructed, and maintained entirely by the in-house team, the facility operates around the clock, handling approximately 15 LNG tankers and dispensing over 800 metric tons of LNG. With an average daily distribution of 6-8 metric tons to 20-25 vehicles, the facility ensures seamless, reliable, and sustainable fuelling solutions for the automotive industry.
