1. EET delivering ‘world’s first decarbonised refinery’
With an ambition to become one of the world's first decarbonised refineries, Stanlow Terminals is at the forefront of pioneering initiatives in sustainable energy production. The refinery's integration with the HyNet hydrogen project aims to drastically reduce CO2 emissions, setting a precedent for the UK's net-zero carbon targets. Stanlow's commitment to carbon capture and storage (CCS) promises significant progress in achieving a cleaner, more sustainable future for the region and beyond.

2. Stanlow Terminals successfully berths a VLCC at its Tranmere Jetties
Stanlow Terminals celebrated a significant milestone at its Tranmere Terminal, situated on the west side of the River Mersey, as a Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC) vessel elegantly docked at Tranmere’s jetties, carrying over 1 million barrels of crude. This achievement speaks volumes about the collaborative efforts of the dedicated teams at Stanlow Terminals, the refinery operations team, and the IST and EPS shipping teams. Stanlow Terminals will continue to drive innovation and excellence in maritime operations!
3. GreenLine's LNG trucks lead the way in sustainable logistics
Essar’s green mobility company, GreenLine 's LNG trucks, is making substantial advances in environmental conservation. Achieving a remarkable 30% reduction in CO2 emissions, the freight transportation fleets are at the forefront of decarbonising heavy trucking across India. With each cleaner journey, GreenLine is revolutionising logistics and shaping a greener future for generations to come.
4. Welcoming the key leaders to Essar
As we embarked on the mission to drive innovation and sustainability, we welcomed esteemed leaders to the Essar Family.
Ankur Kumar takes on the role of CEO of Renewables at Essar Power , bringing over 24 years of expertise in renewable energy to drive Essar's ambitious transition to green energy. With a rich background in solar, wind, and hybrid projects, Ankur is set to establish a robust renewable ecosystem in India, aligning with Essar's vision for a sustainable future.

Majdi Hennawi joins as the Global Head for Business Development at Essar Projects . With almost three decades of experience in engineering, procurement, and construction, Majdi's leadership promises to usher in a new era of growth and expansion, driving Essar's initiatives on a global scale.

Narayan Bhatra takes on the mantle of CEO at EET Retail, the retail arm of EET Fuels . With over 30 years of experience in the energy sector, Narayan is poised to lead the development of Essar-branded fuel retail outlets across the UK. Under his guidance, EET Retail aims to become the preferred choice for consumers, offering a range of low-carbon, high-quality fuels as part of the UK's transition to sustainable energy solutions.

Rob Wallace e steps into the CEO role of EET Hydrogen Power, marking a significant milestone in EET Fuels' decarbonisation journey. With 25 years of experience in the energy and utilities industry, Rob brings extensive knowledge and expertise to oversee the construction of a hydrogen-ready plant at Stanlow refinery. This plant is integral to EET's ambition to create an energy transition hub in the North West.

5. Essar Foundation sponsors CMSF cricket match 2024 for slum children
Essar Foundation , alongside Essar UK Services, sponsored the 'CMSF Cricket Match 2024,' aimed at uplifting slum children and their families. Held amidst the IPL season, at the St. Francis D’Assisi Ground in Borivali West, the event brought joy for residents from Malad to Dahisar. With the esteemed presence of Mr. Subhash Desai, former Industry Minister of the Government of Maharashtra, the inauguration ceremony celebrated community spirit and sportsmanship. The tournament, now in its 23rd year, attracted over 400 participants, showcasing unity and a shared love for cricket. ?
