A glimpse into my upcoming book: Working with Dinosaurs

I am incredibly delighted and thrilled to offer this sneak-peek into a passion project that has been ruminating for quite some time, the upcoming release of my first publication entitled Working with Dinosaurs. 

I’ve found that in my 30-years of experience, across two continents, that the corporate landscape is rife with unknowns. It is my intent to offer a lucid roadmap to one of the challenges that continue to evade most executives, and businesses: digital transformation. As I quickly profess in the first chapter, “Digital transformation has not always made sense, but the reality is that it is no longer escapable.”  

What does this have to do with dinosaurs? I like to refer to those who are struggling to classify digital transformation as an essential priority for their organization as dinosaurs. Those individuals are facing the threatening fate of perishing if they do not evolve, and so are their businesses. Those who take the opportunity to broaden their understanding of technology and embrace the tech boom are what we see in today’s unicorns and corporate giants.  

I’m sure you’re asking yourself, “This is great and all, Marcus, but what exactly will I get out of this book?”  

I provide thorough, in-depth analysis of high-profile digital transformation that has failed, identifying organic understandings of common pitfalls and other threats that may not always be considered.

I profile executive dinosaurs within various roles and offer targeted tactics to find common ground and save projects from stagnation. Finally, I help you and your teams learn from the mistakes of others.  

It is my hope that after reading this book you’ll be able to wade through the mud and rubble of what digital transformation is and isn’t, that prolific myths will be squashed, and that you’ll walk away with a clear path towards transformation, armed with implementable solutions and strategy.
