As the number of workers that are entering the job market decreases and the life expectancy steadily rises, businesses are starting to place a focus on retaining their older workforce. According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, about 60% of the workplace will be comprised of employees ages of 65 and up during the 2020-30 time period.

The older workforce, which is mainly made up of baby boomers, are likely planning to retire in the near future. But with the current labor shortage, companies can’t afford to lose their employees and are starting to implement strategies to keep their older employees from leaving.?
