GLI Announces Global Partnership with Paper Fig Foundation!

Hey folks!

It brings me great pleasure to announce an innovative partnership that we are launching with our brilliant colleagues at LDJ Productions who produce New York Fashion Week and run the Paper Fig Foundation as we continue to Listen. Think. and Act. in East Africa!  The Global Livingston Institute will be working closely with our partners at NY Fashion Week to provide community development support as they invest in jobs for women and develop infrastructure and core services for the residents of Kasese, Uganda.  We will align them with key academic partners and innovate strategic social impact initiatives in the regions where they are working.

And our friends at NY Fashion Week will continue to grow Fashion Week Kigali and Fashion Week Kampala and will work with our networks to grow these partnerships and invest in women through the fashion industry.  In 2017 they will take the lead role in orchestrating our Women's Leadership Summit!!

We expect that this partnership will serve as a model for ways that we can work more collaboratively and share resources as we continue to grow and develop in partnership with our friends and colleagues in Uganda and Rwanda!  Look for an unbelievably exciting event on September 21st in New York City that will formally launch this innovative collaboration!

Check out more details here!

In the meantime thank you all for being part of the journey that we are on as the GLI continues to grow and learn in partnership with an amazing community both in the United States and East Africa!

A new partnership is born!

cheers...jamie & the GLI Family
