Gleaning from Propaganda
What’s true and what’s not? How do we rightly discern the headlines, the rumors, and the propaganda that’s rampant in media? How do we glean the truth in the fear of the Lord?
As a Spirit-empowered prayer warrior, I don’t fear those with unsettling information. I don’t look away from reports that cause me to question my beliefs or challenge my faith. I don’t fear the enemy’s propaganda – I choose to glean from it.
Many times, I learn more from God’s enemies than I do His friends. We have seen how the false prophets of lamestream media will usually take the truths we are trying to defend and weaponize them against us. Which means that most of what they report as false, is actually true. This isn’t very smart on their part, but that’s the cost of partnering with deception – the “experts” become the fools.
But there are also those who are providing truthful information who are not likely candidates. They may not even be Christian (God forbid that a non-believer would present an inspired revelation?)! Those that God has been raising up as revolutionary voices of truth look and sound different than the religious messengers of the past. The Church’s rose-colored glasses are limiting our depth perception and many are wearing outdated hearing aids that can’t adjust to the new sound of reformation. We simply can’t fathom these new revelations or the changes that are going to be required to embrace them.
What we can’t afford to do right now is allow a spirit of fear to keep us blind to some uncomfortable truths. The fear of a virus, the fear of corruption, or the fear of war are all tools of the enemy to distort heaven’s true agenda. Yes, the secrets and hidden agendas of the compromised and corrupt among us are highly unsettling. The truths being revealed about our government and a global plan of destruction are rattling our cages. Many of our religious mindsets are sounding an alarm, not recognizing it’s actually Truth trying to get our attention.
“For the simple are killed by their turning away, and the complacency of fools destroys them; but whoever listens to me will dwell secure and will be at ease, without dread of disaster.” (Proverbs 1:32-33 ESV)

The greatest asset we have in gleaning truth is to be grounded in the Word, but also to be open to new realities. The Religious Spirit is trying to keep us locked into one perspective. But we are in new territory. Our concept of reality is being shaken to the core. What we once thought to be true is being dismantled and demolished. And yet, it is the prophesied “shaking” we have always proclaimed.
If we believe that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, then we must understand this critical factor:?If we are led by any other fear, we will only reap deception.
“Do not call conspiracy all that this people calls conspiracy, and do not fear what they fear, nor be in dread. But the Lord of hosts, Him you shall honor as holy. Let Him be your fear, and let Him be your dread.” (Isaiah 8:12-13 ESV)
In this time of shaking and awakening, we cannot afford to turn away from the painful realities. We cannot afford to deny evidence and tangible proof of the enemy’s infiltration. We must deal with the necessary changes that will occur and the emotional and spiritual investment that will be required to press through to victory.?
It’s our faith in the goodness of our Heavenly Father that will keep us secure. The foundations of our faith will remain, even as structures are being rebuilt and new wineskins are being formed. We must open our minds and allow Him to show us the good, the bad, and especially the ugly. It may be unsettling, but the hidden treasures to be found will be worth it, and the transformation to come will prove it.??G
