???? Glastonbury Was Magical

This weekend in England has been all about Glastonbury! The legendary festival that brings together some of the world's greatest musical talents was, as always is, a highlight for music lovers everywhere. While I've never been in person, I was still able to immerse myself in the incredible performances from the comfort of my home. And what a treat it was!

From Coldplay to Dua Lipa, Shania Twain, and an 80s flashback to my school days with Cyndi Lauper, this year's lineup was nothing short of spectacular, as always. Each performance transported me to different times and places, evoking a myriad of emotions and memories.

Music has been a big part of my life. Reflecting back, I remember the fun being in the concert and marching band throughout my school years in California. Those years were filled with unforgettable experiences, like parading down Main Street Disneyland (a highlight), holiday concert performances, all our band trips across the state for competitions, practices after school, and enjoying sunny picnics and music at the beach with friends. Music was the thread that wove these beautiful moments together, making them even more special.

Music isn't just a hobby for me though; it's my go-to for every mood and occasion. Whether I'm feeling sad, stressed, happy, or simply want music on in the background while I edit photos, music is always there to enhance my experience. The memories a song can evoke are just as powerful as those brought on by a cherished photograph. A single note or lyric can transport me back to a specific time and place, reminding me of people and events that have shaped my life.

This weekend, as I enjoyed the Glastonbury performances, I couldn't help but reminisce about all the times music has been there for me, providing such comfort during challenging times or fun memories with family and friends. Even listening to clients' tunes during photoshoots, music is woven through my life. The magic of live performances, even when streamed at home, rekindled my love for the live music atmosphere and the shared joy of music with lots of other fans.

Here's to the magic of music and all the memories it creates! Festivals like Glastonbury are a testament to the power of music to bring people together, whether in person or virtually. They remind us of the universal language that music speaks, a language that transcends borders and connects us all. Something we need more of in this world!

As I sign off this bonus issue, I'd love to know: does music play a significant role in your life too? What are some of your favourite musical memories? Share your stories in the comments below!

PS: Let's keep the conversation going! How has music shaped your life and memories?
