A glass of milk

Once upon a time, a young boy was selling some goods door to door. Though, he was very hungry but didn't have enough money to buy some food. So he decided to ask for some food at the next house.

However, he lost the nerve when a lovely generous woman opened the door and instead of food, he asked just a glass of water. The woman was wise enough to determine that the boy is really hungry. So instead of water, she bought a glass of milk. The boy drank it very slowly, and then asked, "How much do I owe you"? The lady replied, "You don't owe me anything, I don't accept pay for kindness".The boy thanked the lady and left. After leaving the house, he not only felt physically stronger but also feels mentally very good after this kind gesture.

Many year's later, that same woman get critically ill. She was sent to a big hospital in the nearby city. Dr. Howard Kelly, the famous gynaecologist at that time was called for the consultation.

Dr Kelly left no stone unturned to save the woman's life, and after a long struggle, the battle was won. When the hospital staff was sending the bill to the lady, in the midway, Dr Kelly interrupted, asked the staff member to show the bill, and wrote a note and returned back to that staff member.

When that staff member gave that bill to that lady, she got petrified, as she knew that it will take rest of her life in paying it. Somehow she managed to open it, and immediately that note caught her attention.
