THE GLASGOW TIGERS
The Evans Halshaw Transit Centre Coatbridge is proud to announce their sponsorship of the Glasgow Tigers for the 2017 season.
We are looking forward to working with one of the UK’s premier professional speedway teams over the coming months.
Our sponsorship will include product placement, stadium banners, programme advertising and unique offers on a range of Ford vehicles for Glasgow Tiger customers.
In addition, we are supplying a tiger striped Pride Orange Ranger Wildtrak for product placement and drive events.
Glasgow Tigers is the West of Scotland’s only professional speedway team and one of only a handful of motorsport venues in Scotland. They compete in British Speedway’s Premier League, which consists of thirteen teams.
The twelve other clubs are the Berwick Bandits, Edinburgh Monarchs, Ipswich Witches, Newcastle Diamonds, Peterborough Panthers, Plymouth Devils, Redcar Bears, Rye House Rockets, Scunthorpe Scorpions, Sheffield Tigers, Somerset Rebels and Workington Comets. The Tigers race at the recently redeveloped Ashfield Stadium, a superb venue for live motorsport in the north of Glasgow.
The club has been crowned Premier League champions on three occasions, the last occasion being in 2011. The Tigers season runs from March until October. There are 12 home matches and 12 away matches during the regular season. The Tigers also compete in the Knockout Cup and depending on league position at the end of season playoffs.
The owners Gerry and Michael Facenna bought the Tigers in 2015 and are committed to building a club that will become an important part of the local community.
To celebrate this sponsorship agreement The Transit Centre are given away six free season tickets for the Glasgow Tigers. Just test drive a vehicle in April, as part of the Smart & Tough Ranger event, and you will be entered into a prize draw for a free season of speedway thrills and spills.
