Certified Excellence: Meeting and Exceeding Irish Water Standards

At Glancy Enviro, we understand the critical importance of adhering to the highest standards when inspecting and assessing drainage infrastructure.

That's why we've designed our new centre and processes to fully comply with Irish Water's IW-TEC-800-10 document, ensuring that all our surveys are conducted with precision, accuracy, and reliability. Here’s how our facility ensures our ongoing commitment to this standard:

  • Data Validation Process (Section 7.4): Our new state of the art centre streamlines the data validation process, incorporating multiple layers of checks to ensure accuracy. Priority levels for validation rules are applied, with seamless compatibility with the Irish Water CCTV Validation Rules Data Object.
  • Reports and Deliverables (Section 8.0): Glancy Enviro is dedicated to supplying the details required by Irish Water, including final reports that incorporate photographs and drawings. An interim report can also be provided at an earlier stage, which may suit certain projects. All reports are designed to be accessible and comprehensive to suit stakeholders and the unique needs of our clients.
  • Updating Irish Water’s Asset Database (Section 6.0): The team at Glancy Enviro are always striving to contribute to Irish Water’s Asset Database; identifying alternative sewer layouts, discrepancies between survey data and existing asset data, uncharted and buried manholes, and data from sewer rehabilitation projects.

The centre has also streamlined the following for improved quality and efficiency:

  • Dimension Measurement (Section 2.4): All measurements taken by the team are metric measurements (also known as the International System of Units). Imperial sized sewers are converted on the basis of 1 inch = 25.4mm.
  • Datum & Grid Co-Ordinates (Section 2.5 & 2.6): All level data is set to Malin Head Ordnance Datum, and where possible, all asset co-ordinates are located in accordance with ING (Irish National Grid) co-ordinate system.
  • Survey Team Qualifications and Training Requirements (Section 4.0): Technicians have been fully trained to Survey Team Qualifications and Training Requirements, so you can rest assured your assets are in the safest and most knowledgable of hands.
