A glance at the CFL fan - how many, who, what?
it's August long weekend and with the CFL season now in full swing we thought it would be good to have a look at the CFL fan base and also at the individual teams. There are some really interesting differences between teams and some really insightful similarities… Here a couple of highlights:
- ?The Stampeder’s has a much younger demo (16-29) than the Alouettes and the Rough Riders (27% vs 17%)
- 47% of the general population visits YouTube while only 12% of the CFL fans use YouTube to follow their favourite CFL team.
- The CFL fan is more engaged with sponsors than the general population, with the Stampeders being best in class
- 7 out of 10 of the CFL fans would consider a sponsors brand
Of course, we have the the ability to look at it from every angle possible: from a team, consumption/sponsorship behaviour, (socio)demographic POV… whatever makes most sense and in line with how you want to use these insights.
