#GladToBeHere with 2018 Naval Academy Leadership Conference

When I attended the Naval Academy in Annapolis, I often sat in on leadership conferences. That’s where I learned basic concepts that served me throughout my career, from my time at Stanford School of Business to my years working with venture capital in Silicon Valley. This knowledge remains relevant in my current role, working with leaders around the world to inspire excellence in their teams.

That’s why it’s such an honor to be asked to return and speak at the Naval Academy’s biggest annual conference this weekend. I’m amazed that I’ll be teaching my experience of leadership in the very place where I learned to lead. And I’m humbled to share a stage with other speakers—like Dick Cheney and Madeleine Albright—who have served in the top tiers of government.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to address this delegation of future leaders. The students attending this conference have been hand selected from some of the nation’s top universities. It’s an honor to inspire the next generation to overcome obstacles, break belief barriers, and lead through change in the 21st century.
