Glad to be back and open for business
It’s been a while, but finally the doors are wide open at Lindsay Fowke Photography. We can’t wait to hear from you!
Working as a Bristol photographer producing commercial images across many sectors, I am now taking bookings for the studio and location shoots once more. Of course, all shoots will be compliant with government guidelines.
A Socially-Distant Studio
I’ve reviewed the space in the studio and it is set up to enable us to implement social-distancing as we need to. We’ve moved equipment around to allow for comfortable and safe working conditions, whatever the shoot entails whether that’s product shots for marketing collateral, portraits for a portfolio, or food imagery guaranteed to whet the appetite.
As ever, I’m delighted to talk through procedures with clients on the phone beforehand to help everyone understand what to expect from the shoot.
Lessons I’ve Learned Over the Last Year
I think there will be some positive legacies from Coronavirus, not least the chance for many of us to introduce more flexible practices that have already encouraged us to review the way we work and to be more efficient with our time. This will be the case in my industry, and many others too.
- It’s good to talk! Talking to customers isn’t new for me, but this is more about setting and managing expectations, and guiding people through the process. A lot is the same but there are a few things that are just a little different. It means we can get back behind the camera, so it’s all good.
- Communication is more important than ever. I’ve found that by keeping a positive conversation going clients have been very understanding, so a big thank you to all of them!
- Finally, whilst conversation is important to customers, it’s also vital to talk to staff. Talk to them about how they feel about coming back to work – they might be nervous and apprehensive – and also about the business. Now is the perfect time to review your processes and change how you do things if you need to.
Best of luck with your own return to work, whenever that is over the coming weeks, whether you’re working alone or with others. And of course, if you’d like a friendly Bristol photographer to do some commercial photography for your business, get in touch. I have appointments available in the studio and I’m also available to come to you at your premises or any other location as appropriate. Looking forward to seeing you soon!
