To be Glad

We're so engrossed in the day to day of money management, money raising, business building, business protection, LTV:CAC ratios, and everything else. Personal branding has been literally everywhere, and of course it's important, but we're so focused on the branding piece, we lose sight of the person. How they're doing. How they're feeling. For real, under the surface. Or we just don't (and really can't) know what's happening with a person; not because we don't care, but some things are unknowable, unexplainable.
Last Friday Siya Mali got in touch to let me know some terrible news, about our friend Glad. These are some posts from those that knew him, some better than others. I will say though that some people, even if you meet them just once, do leave a lasting impression on you - Gladymir Phillippe was exactly that kind of person.
There will be a memorial on Sunday
There's a GoFundMe
I talk a lot about legacy, here in newsletters and in posts. What's more important than that. And what can possibly me more important than supporting all those around us, whether we know what's happening or not, so we can all leave the greatest legacy behind. Unfortunately, we don't always see that through, and that makes it hard to be glad.
For you thoughtfulness and generosity, may the rest of your days be blessed, my friend. https://www.dhirubhai.net/posts/siyamali_glads-legacy-kado-acacias-future-activity-7100880932550713344-YCWk
