Glaciers on the Move

Glaciers on the Move

I am just back from Svalbard, after an amazing fieldwork for our project "Glaciers on the Move". Together with Photographer David Wrangborg we are creating an exhibition on surging glaciers for the Svalbard Museum. What an honor! The exhibition will take place at the end of 2019. To collect enough material for it, we planned to have two trips around surging glaciers in Svalbard, one in the spring and one in the autumn. And the first one is just over! We had the best time in the field, perfect weather and perfect ice conditions. We were lucky to be accompanied by Dr. Miriam Marquardt and Dr. Anne Elina Flink for field safety and good mood experts!

In four days we installed two time lapse cameras, collected hundreds of photographs, sounds and drone shots and videos. I cannot wait to share the results with you. Watch this space for more news, and follow our updates on facebook.com/GlaciersOnTheMove
