Global Programme “Center for Migration and Development” (ZME)

The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ) is a federal enterprise that supports the German Government in achieving its objectives in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development. The global programme “Centers for Migration and Development” is commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented in Albania.

The overarching objective of the programme is to contribute to the improvement of the prospects for economic and social participation for returnees in the countries of origin (implementing countries). The main target group are potential migrants as well as returning migrants from Germany or other EU countries to whom ZME is offering counselling services on risks of irregular migration, regular and regional migration and perspectives of educational and professional development in Albania, as well as advice and support in their reintegration process (after return). ZME is implementing its various activities together with its political and national partners such as the Ministry of Economy, Culture and Innovation and the National Agency for Employment and Skills.

?For the support of the ZME team, we are seeking the following staff: Local Intern

A.????Responsibilities

The intern provides support to the ZME Tirana team as follows:

Finance & Admin 50%

·???????? Supports the Admin and Finance team in daily tasks/work processes/diverse project activities;

·???????? Participates/organizes/supports internal and external meetings/workshops/trainings/events and assists with documenting these (minutes) as well as interprets/translates when needed;

·???????? Ensures good communication and flow of information within ZME;

·???????? Ensures that the necessary office supplies are available and organizes/monitors the service and repair of office equipment;

·???????? Photocopies/scans/sticks and prepares documents as needed;

·???????? Assists in general office services and duties;

·???????? Data entry.

Monitoring & Evaluation 50%

·???????? Supports Data Management and Reporting;

·???????? Supports Data Visualization and Presentation;

·???????? Supports Field Activities and Project Implementation;

·???????? Backups and Additional Responsibilities if required.

?B.????Required qualifications, competences and experience

·???????? Ongoing or finalized studies (BA./MA.) not more than 6 months ago in an area such as Economics, Finance management and Accounting, Law or others;

·???????? Very good written and oral knowledge of Albanian and English (and ideally German);

·???????? Very good working knowledge with ITC technologies and computer applications;

·???????? Soft skills: positivity, high degree of motivation, analytical mind, detail oriented, team-spirit, resilient in stressful situations, ability to prioritize and maintain overall view, proactive.

Contract conditions
