You have saved on your Christmas presents the whole month of November this year. TODAY is a day to help spread the Christmas cheer even more by donating to organizations that help out the less fortunate. If you don't know where to donate, here are some great places.
Delta-Waverly Rotary Club: Delta-Waverly Rotary Club is a community service organization that is dedicated to giving back to their local communities and wiping Polio off the face of the earth! Donations to this club will go towards one of the following programs: Community grants, scholarships, and/or helping feed over a 170 Waverly students on the weekends.
Salvation Army: Help rescue Christmas. With more people hurting and fewer Red Kettles to help them, your generosity helps the most vulnerable. Delta-Waverly Rotary Club is committed to helping raise a minimum of $500 this holiday season.
Lake Trust Foundation Partners with Meals for Michigan: Now through December 11th, Lake Trust Foundation will be matching dollar for dollar up to $10,000 to Michigan food banks. According to the U.S. Census Bureau's Household Pulse Survey, over 10% of adults reported that their household sometimes or often didn't have enough to eat between April and October, compared to 3.7% in the 12 months prior to COVID. For every $1 you donate, it provides 3 meals.
Footprints of Michigan: Their mission is to empower those who are in need by providing warmth and dignity with footwear. Footprints of Michigan has distributed over 12,000 pairs of shoes in 2019. They are a nonprofit that is run 100% on donations.
