During the past few months, a group of our community’s capacity support partners have gathered to talk about the state of collaboration in Middle Tennessee. The COVID crisis required that we all shift our focus to urgent, immediate needs – how are we stepping back from that experience and either rekindling or building new partnership for success? What types of collaborations work best for different types of organizations? What do we need to make these partnerships more successful and more impactful??Help us learn more!

Nonprofit Day on the Hill

Nonprofit Day on the Hill at the Capitol is a two-day event that will serve as a source of inspiration and a vital link between and among the state’s nonprofit sector and the leaders within the TN General Assembly.

On the first day, nonprofit leaders will gather at our first-ever Advocacy Summit in Nashville for a day of sharing, learning, networking. The next day, Nonprofit Day on the Hill, will be an opportunity for nonprofit staff and board members to meet with elected officials and advocate for the nonprofit sector while also educating electors about the work that your own organization provides.

Target Circle Community Giving

Through Target Circle, supporters can direct funds to your nonprofit simply by shopping at Target! First, you'll want to apply to be a member of the program here.

If your application is accepted, here's how you can mobilize your network to maximize this opportunity:

• Spread the Word: Encourage your supporters to become Target Circle members. Each Target trip earns them votes that can be directed to your nonprofit.
• Voting Made Easy: Guide them through the simple voting process on the Target app or website. In the app, they can select "My Target," tap on "Target CircleTM," and choose "Vote for nonprofits."
• Engage Your Community: Share this initiative through your social media channels, newsletters, and events. Highlight the impact their votes can make in supporting your cause.
• Track Progress: Keep your supporters informed about voting periods and encourage them to rally behind your organization during these times.
• Maximize Visibility: Ensure your nonprofit is featured on Target's platform. Visit Target.com/circle to verify your presence and encourage votes.

NFL Foundation Grassroots

The NFL Foundation Grassroots Program provides non-profit, neighborhood-based organizations with financial and technical assistance to improve the quality, safety and accessibility of local football fields. The program is a partnership of the National Football League Foundation, which provides funding, and LISC, which provides technical assistance and manages the program. Applicants may request a maximum of $250,000. It is strongly encouraged that potential applicants read the complete RFP before submitting a proposal.?
