Giving Tuesday: Embracing the Spirit of Gratitude

The holiday season is a time for reflection and gratitude, and at TEKsystems, we embrace this spirit wholeheartedly. #GivingTuesday provides us with a wonderful opportunity to honor one of our core values: serving others. TEKsystems believes in the power of community and the positive impact that collective efforts can have on society.?Serving others allows us to contribute to meaningful causes and drive positive change, reflecting our dedication to making a difference beyond business. By giving back, we can help create a better, more inclusive world for everyone.

This year, I’m especially proud to highlight one of our closest partners, the Pat Tillman Foundation. Our nearly decade-long partnership aligns based on a mutual commitment to supporting military service members, veterans and spouses. In honor of Pat Tillman, the foundation provides educational scholarships to the military community. We share that same commitment to service, so as part of Giving Tuesday, TEKsystems is matching the first $25,000 raised by the Pat Tillman Foundation’s Double Your Impact Campaign. We also continued our sponsorship of the?20th Annual?Pat’s Run—a milestone event. Funds raised went towards the Tillman Scholars program, which supports the military-connected with scholarships, leadership development and a global community of high-performing peers.

?I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to our teams around the world who have been tirelessly giving back to their communities this year.

In the U.S., TEKsystems connected with over 1,000 students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) at Development Conferences through our partnership with Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF). TMCF achieves an impressive graduation rate of 85-90%, standing out from other educational initiatives.?We’re also incredibly proud of our ongoing partnership with Per Scholas, working together provide opportunities for underrepresented graduates in IT. Our partnership with Technovation, a global tech education nonprofit that empowers girls to become leaders, creators and problem-solvers, has expanded. A team of our experts reviewed 132 submissions as part of a competition reflecting months of work and learning about mobile technologies and AI.

·?????? In Canada, our partnership with NPower helps drive inclusion, diversity and equity in technology by directly supporting 53 learners with free, in-demand digital and professional skills. In July, TEKsystems was awarded the Employer Excellence Award as we celebrated placing over 60 NPower Canada graduates over the past two years.

·?????? In India, our teams continued their commitment to improve facilities, education opportunities, and the general well-being for underserved communities in Hyderabad and Bengaluru (Bangalore). These projects included two school renovations to improve the learning environment for over 50 students, the sponsorship of 12 engineering and polytechnic students in partnership with Personnel Search Services, covering the personal and medical expenses for five children in support of Sai Seva Sangh, and enhancing sanitation infrastructure with the construction of a new building through the NV Lakshmi Foundation.??

·?????? Our team in Europe is in their second year as strategic partners with Tech She Can, an organization supporting women in tech. With a growing team of volunteers, each fully trained and STEM approved, TEKsystems provided lessons and assemblies to almost 2,500 children across multiple schools and educational bodies throughout the U.K. this year. Sessions focused on how technology is used in sports, gaming, fashion and for the environment, as well as the delivery of several bespoke employability skills workshops including CV writing and interview tips.?

Our teams, employees and company consistently demonstrate our core values through hundreds of events throughout the year. By serving others, we can build deeper relationships with our communities, which in turn creates a more supportive environment for people and businesses to thrive.
