On Giving Thanks
I am so thankful to make it through this year to the start of another #Thanksgiving week. It was tough for me last year experiencing this holiday season after my mom passed away. My mom would make this season so special with her warmth, quality time, yummy cooking, gracious gifts, and plenty of hugs. This year, like many of you affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, I cannot look forward to sharing any of those treasures with my mom. However, I am thankful.
I have been able to turn my grief into gratitude and help bring to life The Monica Chibuogu Nneji Foundation, Inc., a non-profit public charity, in honor of my mom. I am sharing this with you today to encourage you on your journey and ask that you support us on this journey too. We are committed to investing in health equity, educational advancement, and community empowerment.
Thanks to contributions from people from around the country, we are already on track to award one scholarship to a university student in need this year. We also plan to host The Foundation's first workshop for high school seniors on December 22, 2020 (please apply & share [https://forms.gle/UZuphEdQF9L6urSP8]).
We are just getting started. Please help us grow by donating today: https://nnejifoundation.github.io/ . Your gifts are tax-deductible and we plan to publish annual reporting on our work in the community.
