Meet Nikola Tsolov – the F4 Spanish Champion!?

The Bulgarian racing prodigy had an astounding year as a rookie in the Spanish F4 Championship, winning the title by a landslide of 400 points! ?

Let’s take a little trip back in time to celebrate Nikola’s success. ???

Early Career?

The Bulgarian Lion started his karting career in 2016 at the age of 10. He became a Republic champion in 2016 and 2017 in the Bulgarian Mini class, and then moved to the Italian championships. He became one of the breakout stars in 2018, having gone from Mini to OK-J to OK in the next years. ?

He won the WSK Open Cup in 60 Mini karts in 2019, came seventh in the Junior World Championship and was absolutely on it at the senior level in 2021. ?

Nikola was invited by Fernando Alonso to drive alongside him in the 2021 edition of 24h Endurance race in Dubai, where they finished 3rd. ?

Getting into Formula 4 ?

After getting noticed by Fernando Alonso, in March this year the Formula 1 legend announced the start of A14 Management, by signing Nikola Tsolov under his wing. The young talent also became a member of the Alpine Affiliate program and a driver for Campos Racing. ?

2022 F4 Spain Season?

His first racing weekend at Portim?o Circuit started off with a little hiccup– even though he secured pole position, he had a problem with the start in the first race, finishing 14th. He quickly recovered, getting to 5th place in the second and winning the third race.?

Out of 21 races in the season, Nikola bagged 13 wins, 3 second places and 2 third places – making a total of 18 podiums! That secured him the massive amount of 400 points, 113 more than the second-place winner. ?

We are immensely proud of Nikola and it’s a true honor for us to support him on his path to Formula 1.????
