Giving credit where credit is due

Giving credit where credit is due

Georgia and traffic go together like a hammer and nail. The nail is me. Yes, I messed up my simile, but Georgia traffic is a mind twisting experience at times. That said, I've been working in the field of public relations for more than two decades. I believe I'm the best at what I do, as it should be, and as such, I find myself always evaluating every act of communications' outreach from prepared statements to on-camera interviews.

Over the years, when GDOT has had to deal with crisis and/or provide instructions for drivers during snow or ice, Natalie Dale, the Media and Government Relations Liaison for GDOT has stood out to me. Each time I see her on the news, I find myself pausing and thinking, "She's really good," and I've often thought I should call and tell her.

In the spirit of women honoring women for the work that they do, I'm acknowledging Natalie Dale for possibly having one of the toughest jobs in PR and representing GDOT with poise and confidence.

PS. I do not look forward to seeing her this winter because that would mean dangerous weather is upon us, but I am impressed.

Kathy Scott thank you so much ! It’s not often that we get positive feedback for the hard work we do here at GDOT. It is certainly a wonderful thing to be recognized for doing something I love . Thank you thank you for your positive words and encouragement!! Hopefully you will see less of me this Winter Weather season !
