Giving Back with Hamish Denham

We are forever grateful that the work we do here at Talent Insight Group gives us the opportunity to support some incredible charities. Alongside our support for a number of local causes we asked our delivery team to nominate the charities that really matter to them.

First up, it’s our Associate Research Director, Hamish Denham.

Which charity have you nominated?

I’ve chosen Maggie’s. They offer free support to people affected by cancer, whether that be the individuals themselves or their families.?

What led you to choose this particular charity?

This was a charity that my Aunt used as she battled cancer. For me, there are plenty of charities looking to help cure cancer, but the support angle that Maggie’s takes is something I think should be promoted equally as much.

How do they make an impact in the community?

The support Maggie’s offers for people who are going through such a difficult period of time is something that I think goes under the radar. I feel that people tend to internalise their struggles, and having a community of people going through the same issues can be a huge help.

What's one thing you wish people knew about this charity?

Personally, I wasn’t really aware of them before Katherine (my aunt) went through her cancer diagnosis and treatment. I’d like more people to be aware that there are places like this where you can go to get help.
