Giving Back To The Community
ThermalWood Canada
Family owned enterprise offering high-quality thermally modified wood products for indoor and outdoor applications.
It's that time again. The ninth edition of our bi-weekly newsletter, Turning Up The Heat. This one is about giving back to the community (as the title suggests) but it is also about so much more.
We recently passed an exciting LinkedIn milestone, we welcomed a new member of the team, we auctioned off a beautiful table for a great cause, shipped some samples of our Obsidian Ebony all over the world, and much more.
So, once again we want to thank our subscribers for joining the journey, and without further ado, he's a brand new edition of Turning Up The Heat.
We've been on a push as of late to get samples of our Obsidian Ebony out to as many luthiers/guitar manufacturers as possible. It's been an exciting campaign. It's safe to say that there's a lot of interest out there.
Last week, we sent out 15 samples to luthiers all over the world. And as we receive more feedback from them, we're going to be posting a lot more about what luthiers around the world are saying about Obsidian Ebony.
Nice and snug in brand new boxes, and a brand new ThermalWood Canada stickers.
General Manager of ThermalWood Canada, Pierre Friolet built a beautiful table for the Chaleur Regional Hospital Foundation, who was putting on an auction as part of their 2023 Charity Golf Classic.
The table was auctioned off for $4000, and the entire event raised $68,000. The money raised by the foundation goes back into the Chaleur Regional Hospital where it will be used to purchase important equipment.
We were proud to be a part of this, and any chance that we get to give a little something back to the city, we're more than happy to do so.
It's always a cause for celebration when a new hire joins the ThermalWood Canada family. We just hired Samuel Del Pilar from the Philippines, who spent many years as an Aircraft Mechanic in the Philippines, Singapore, and Kuwait, before deciding to come to Canada with his wife and son and begin a life right here in Bathurst.
Sam says that his family loves it here, and that people in Canada have been great to him every step of the way to ensure that he never felt like an outsider. We're happy to have Sam join the team, and we're happy to share his story with all of our followers.

Our weekly YouTube series, The Northern Heat Report, continues to have weekly guests sit down with President and CEO of ThermalWood Canada, Robert Lennon .
We sat down with two different guests with two different backgrounds over the last couple of weeks. Both resulted in longer than usual interviews. Which is great because it means the conversations are flowing.
Our first guest was another new member of the ThermalWood Canada team, Eric Johnson , who is the Brand Strategist for the company. Eric discussed his journey which eventually led him to Bob first as a Reporter, and then as a member of the ThermalWood Canada team.
You can see that interview here:
Our latest guest was local business owner, Joel Albert , who sat down with Bob to discuss owning not one but two businesses. Joel has also recently been added to the top 50 CEOs in Atlantic Canada. He has an impressive resume, and was a perfect guest for The Northern Heat Report.

Last week the ThermalWood Canada LinkedIn page passed the 1000 follower mark. Now, we stand at 1086 followers. We know it's not the biggest company page on LinkedIn or anything, but it is still truly amazing to see how many new followers have joined the ThermalWood Canada journey.
Everyday we see new followers that are people we didn't know before we started this company page over four months ago. We receive messages and emails daily about the company, and how people want to learn more.
We just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone, and to tell you that our goal is to keep increasing our LinkedIn presence and keep growing our followers.
Well, that wraps up another edition of Turning Up The Heat. Thank you again for giving it a read, and if you haven't already, please follow us here, and on our other social channels.
