The #1 predictor of who will become a donor, and someone worth pursuing, is if the person has already given to others.
Reaching out to a generous donor that generally gives to good causes is not considered donor poaching. After all, givers want to give more, and if you engage them by sharing your message and the impact of your organization’s work, they will generally welcome the opportunity to join your donor ranks and make a difference.
Charity isn’t a zero sum game. Your donation is not coming at the expense of anyone else.
