Give yourself permission to calm down for Christmas

Do you know how to stop and enjoy the Christmas holidays with your family or yourself? For others, the big wheel is spinning and quiet days just mean better concentration at work. Constant overexcitement flows and the person doesn't even realize they need to stop. A calmer-than-normal and uninterrupted working day almost feels like a vacation. It's easy to lie to yourself so you don't have to stop. Do you understand what this is all about?
For one reason or another, a person cannot allow himself to calm down. Something prevents a person from forgiving himself and keeps him in constant motion. Most of the time, in the performance society, it's about a bad feeling coming from within. Keeping it out is so routine that you can't even question it. If this has been going on for ten, twenty or thirty years, it can be difficult to recognize the way of doing things - even more difficult to understand what could be done about it.
The hard work pace and routine has once again drawn me to work on autopilot
I started new jobs and, in addition, an assignment for my own company. I have worked really hard in December. I noticed that I was thinking that I could do a little work here and there in between - to accumulate hours and increase future invoicing. Luckily I have my morning yoga and I stopped and recognized what it was all about. It's bad inside me, some unprocessed nasty feeling that I haven't let come out. It could just be a matter of depression, but the hard work pace and routine has once again drawn me to operate on autopilot and keep the feeling outside and perform.

It's not about these individual things, but about the feeling that makes us believe this
Everyone has to have their own way to stop. The most important thing is to let go of control and let anxiety and bad feelings come. The backlash may be that this project needs to be finished, these things still have to be done. When you let go of them, the next object will soon follow. And the next one. And the next one. Over three years of morning yoga has given me a window into my own mind and I believe that our minds all work the same way. It's not about these individual things, but about the feeling that makes us believe this.
Let go, forgive yourself, give yourself permission to enjoy Christmas with yourself or your loved ones. The best Christmas gift is to give the vagus nerve inside us a rest and let go. Close the cell phones and do something really nice and eat well. The Christmas spirit brings a calm and safe feeling. It's worth doing things that make you feel safe, good and warm. I would think that the Christmas spirit will raise its head all by itself.
Merry Christmas 2023
