Give yourself a pat on the back

Give yourself a pat on the back

Hi Reader,

Have you ever felt like an imposter, even though you’re excelling at work? You’re not alone. I’ve felt it many times before, and I am certain it will continue to pop up in the future, too.

?? Tip of the Day

Something that has helped me not let imposter syndrome take over is to reframe my mindset: Remember, feeling like an imposter is often a sign that you’re growing and stepping out of your comfort zone. I truly believe that those of us who experience imposter syndrome are often the highest achievers because we’re pushing ourselves into unfamiliar or challenging situations.

So, the next time you feel that imposter syndrome creeping in, take a step back and give yourself some well-deserved credit. You’re doing amazing things!

For more advice about halting imposter syndrome in its tracks, check out my previous newsletter here .

Yes, self celebration is so important. I'm currently teaching my middle child to drive. One of the things that we do after each session is to reflect on what he did well as well as opportunities to grow. I'm teaching him to be intentional about finding the positives and taking time to celebrate. This continues to be a huge confidence boost for all of us.
